*I oppose Boise legislative action limiting master agreement contracts for individual K-12 teachers
*I oppose Boise legislative action enacting teacher pay for performance for individual K-12 teachers
*I oppose Boise legislative action to require laptop computers and online education for K-12 graduation
*I support the delegation of authority for organization and administration of K-12 education in Idaho to the individual school districts within the state.
*I support the limitation of Boise's role in K-12 education to annual financial appropriation ONLY!
*I support VOLUNTARY association of teachers with teachers unions ONLY!
*I support an INCREASE in K-12 education spending based solely on the requests of each individual school district within the state
*I support a DECREASE in public higher education spending
~Information is a right not a commodity. We must do what ever is necessary to insure that education in Idaho remains as much a philanthropic effort as possible. Efforts in the educational system should be focused on keeping learning and teaching the primary efforts of the Idaho education system not money, union dues and corporate kickbacks!
~Education should always be elective and individualized. A student voluntarily employed in the pursuit of education which he/she is personally interested in gets the most out of that pursuit.
~ Prospective students & their guardians should choose how they are educated not the state!
~I support parents or guardians being the primary educators of their children FIRST, the state should be a defensive secondary option!
~The allocation of money requested by each school district for the proper education of its residents should be the only effort undertaken by Boise. LEAVE THE EDUCATION TO THE STUDENTS AND THE TEACHERS NOT THE POLITICIANS AND THE BUREAUCRATS!
~ The constitutionally mandated Idaho government funded socialized educational system should be a defensive option for the education of our children not an offensive compulsory only-option.
~Idaho teachers are competent
professionals with a valuable job skill who deserve respect and fair INDIVIDUALIZED treatment from their employer whether private sector or state. Any institution or body that takes away, voluntarily or involuntarily, the right of an Idaho teacher to negotiate for salary, benefits or like compensation on an INDIVIDUAL basis is improper and unacceptable
~Parents, teachers and students need to be the primary architects of any state funded educational system not politicians. This system should be governed closest to the people that it works for; at the district level, not from Boise.
